Is God in the Toilet Cheryl Millett For Your Better Health Awakening YouWith fun and seriousness, this article is written.  With a gentle sigh, some may be familiar with hugging the ivory bowl once or twice in their life (or more LOL.)  In this blog, ‘Is God in the Toilet’ looks at it in a different way with a pinch of the cheeks and a splash of human nature.  It addresses the essence of God as well as Religions, but please do not take me as an expert in this area.  Experts are seen with degrees on their walls and robes around their shoulders.  Well travelled in oceans with waves as high as apartment buildings.

The Atheist

For some who carry the title of atheist, they do not believe there is a god, so for them at one point in their life, they chose to flush the toilet with the idea of a God whom now swims in the cool waters of a city’s water recycling facility.  Do they believe in Greek gods?  Is the words “Oh my God” used?  If God only had ears to hear and eyes to see.

God in the ChurchIs God in the Toilet Church Religion

While for others, the stories about priests and sexual activity threw a loop up in their world and it came down and hung up the church by the steeples.  Just eliminated their church goings all together.  One could see the church as a business…with their many acquired properties (over the centuries built by acquired workers) including the massive mansion in Rome with a figure who is spoiled with riches and luxury travels – while there is starvation and poverty in the world along with inflation.  So it doesn’t make sense at any time.

Is God in the Toilet?!

Answer My Prayers

At times, it seems like God does not answer all prayers so down the toilet god travels.  If we were given free will then reversing the water’s flow would have us rethink our journey, our choices, our world, our prayers.  A soul may have only wanted to experience a young life, a mother giving birth, perhaps live through a disease, and much more as the journeys are unique.  It is clear to me that people may learn from what happens in their lives.  Perhaps it is traumatic. But in the end, the view can be seen in different lights.  For example, when a teenage boy passed from receiving his covid vaccine, it awakened the parents and the many who could see the connection.  Yes, the loss was sad indeed for all the family and friends.  This boy’s life still made a difference.

Unable to Answer Questions

Some have asked questions of their minister, only to find out they did not know the answers.  Is there missing books?  Do they not study the bible from cover to cover?  Made many think about it.  Perhaps think about the 10% they continue to give to their church annually.  Yes, every sermon they ask for donations.  The church is one of the wealthiest corporations in the world.  Hmmm.  We keep on diving into ‘Is God in the Toilet’ or perhaps it is the church.

Assimilate or be Killed

Perhaps the history of the church puts a damper on attending church.  History was wonderful on one hand, the adventurers, the journeys to the new lands.  If it was true, the church travelled far and wide to conquer the souls of other cultures.  To steal their language, their life and their property (to build yet another church in the name of God or who/what).  Killed they did and at times, I sense a desperation to not let down God – we must save them or they will not go to heaven.  I thought that killing was a sin.  But then again, they didn’t study the Bible, and perhaps these were the warriors of the church and in some ways, rebels of the commandants.

The natives here in Canada were subject to both the church and state.  They weren’t the only ones…all pagans or non Christians in the early days were ‘join us’ or die…some would have fled.  While it may not have been exactly this way (the victors write the stories and put fear into the good people) as it occurred over many centuries.  There seems to have still been a lot of dysfunction and cruelty in the name of god.  What an interesting world.  And only us can create a better life and world.

Is God in the Toilet Heaven

I know very little about religions but of what I do know, there have been wars, they have different Gods and some members are abusive.  Let’s ponder what is actually going on?  Should the current religions come together into one religion?  When something is already dysfunctional and corrupt, do you really think it is a good idea or will change anything?  Would they not somehow continue to deceive the many, amass more wealth, control many?

StoriesIs God in the Toilet The Journey

This subject is not foreign to me.  Canada was raised Christian.  My mother was raised Catholic (Acadian, French and an Irish parent).  A grandfather was in a Catholic orphanage for some of his younger years due to too many mouths to feed.  My uncle became a Minister and fooled around with a teenage girl.

There are stories told (movies too) of Irish orphanages and others (my Scotland travel).  Sunday school was a thing with a friend’s family and saw the grown ups be hypocrites.  I did see many lovely people congregate in one space and some of the music is delightful and soulful.  People look forward to it.  It meant a lot to a number of people and still does.

The church can be the community hub…connections.  Community does not need the church but I know a minister who does soooo much for the community from providing social work, a shoulder to cry on and food for the hungry.  Took my daughter to Brownies as I went to Brownies.  I once went to a Christian camp in the US (plus another high school adventure to a cult school for reforming children on the wrong side of the law).

Family still celebrates Christmas as they enjoy the time together, the treats, the tree and decorations, and the presents, while my cousin who left the church now celebrates the Sabbath (Saturday) and no longer Christmas (adios to those presents – she is still a gift giver).

Enough said as there must be millions of stories to be shared across the globe good and bad along with the ugly.  These experiences provide us lessons at best and opportunity to learn where is God.

Time for some light!

In 2018, I toured Ireland with a group to hike the beautiful lush green hillsides and look out from the cliffs.  It was there that I was told that the churches have many empty pews on Sundays but the people’s spirit is still high.  Many are now staying away from the (Christian) churches.  The attendance is way down.  From what I read, heard, and experienced, the reasons are several.  One key reason stands out after studying these two book series; Anastasia and the Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East.   God is not only in the churches.

Is it God, All That Is, an essence, everywhere and anywhere, and perhaps a creator or all of the above?  Here we are on earth, hanging out with what has been created.  Some now call it a matrix or an illusion.  So is all creation, a creation.  A garden that changes from the sprouting of nourishment to the ground hog eating your tender peas.  Both are here, good and bad but real.

Is God in the Toilet All That Is

Anastasia

It was shared that God is all around us, within us, and we are creators in his image…so we may not be our bodies but our bodies have been created to play and have this experience.  When people tune into who we really are, they may expand upon ‘there is indeed something bigger than ourselves’, the selves that have been in the drama of life, unique to each of us.  We can witness the various and unique journeys.  The power is there to heal and to raise the young ones in kindness, beauty and independence.

For now, I will not get into the other book series only that it opened up the most amazing possibilities beyond what I could imagine – these books were teachers.  If this topic is of interest, explore them.

Is God in the Toilet

It is your choice to put God in the Toilet, to take God out of the Toilet, to hold on by a thread – to dangle the thought with just your hand resting on the flushing lever.  A thought just popped in, God is immortal?  Hmmm…whatever you decide to do be ready to explain yourself OR God already knows.  The many beliefs that circle the many religions around the globe vary and choice is at the helm of the ship that sails the seas.  What do you think?  It may not be your own thoughts you think but that of your culture, upbringing, family, and desires.  To seek is to go with the flow…a nice slow adventure guided by whom or what?

Champion for your better health…

Before the age of 20, it never dawned on me that what I chose to put in my mouth would have such a dramatic effect on my well being.
On my path of discovery, I learned that our eating choices directly affected how much energy we have first thing in the morning or that it would build our immune system strength during flu season. Part of it was coming to understand how gentle nutritional cleansing directly helped overcome my health challenges. People keep telling me how beautiful my skin is or how I look younger.
As my studies continued, it became obvious that there is an intrinsic connection between the mind, body, and spirit which directly affects our health and happiness. Omegas are another critical piece of the wellness puzzle. The Auum omegas alone turned on some switches in my brain in just one day.
I have developed a deep appreciation for the wonderful miracle workers our bodies are in the recovery process.  Our bodies have natural intelligence.  I am passionate to share the connection between nutrition and wellness in my practice and my presentations.
