Thymus Thump PositionThe Thymus Thump is not a dance nor a drumbeat but the fist in motion upon your chest to increase vital energy and more.

The location of the thymus is down the center of the chest in between the thyroid and the heart. It is in middle of your sternum or some will share in the middle of your chest behind your breastbone. We all have one.

If you study images, you may say they look like mini lungs situated near the top center and in between the lungs.

Science says the thymus plays a very important if not crucial role in our immune system/function by assisting in the development and maturation of T-cells.(1) It functions best in childhood and diminishes with age or after puberty. What if the Thymus Thump brings back some vitality in this gland? Why does the thymus need to function less over time especially as early as puberty when our immune system is key for our entire life/journey?

A daily practice of thumping your thymus gently with the inner part of your fist is said to:

  • be calming when worrying or anxious
  • be helpful when there is trauma
  • be vitalizing and increase energy

So the thymus thump will aid in destressing and when you are feeling like you are getting something, like a cold.

Highly recommended that anyone over the age of 15, practice the Thymus Thump regularly or at some point in the month. Awaken this gland/organ so it is of assistance. Perhaps too much of a good thing is too much. I haven’t heard of any downside other than when you realize that your thymus gland hasn’t been exercised for many moons, then the time is now.

Fist Thump

Most websites will demonstrate the thumping or tapping to be with the tips of your fingers for 15-30 seconds at a time, while the other option is with a closed fist and gently with the inside of the fist, tap to the beat of your heart. Thump thump. Thump thump. Thump thump. Thump thump. Thump thump.

Is this Supplement/Food Good for Me?

For years, teaching clients the Thymus Thump also brought forth a simple independent test of the client’s supplements and foods. It would be a self test.

Do I need my vitamin D (right now)?

Is this apple good for me (right now)?

The response is for right now.

How about this pasta?

What about this garlic supplement?

And so on. I will often teach and use this method to test which kind of the Auum Omega 3s is idea for the client at this time. Auum has two omega products; one product is omegas + vitamin D = Sublingual D, and the other product is omegas + vitamin D + vitamin A = NeuroPerformance. First it is best to test to see if the energy is flowing correctly so some simple questions are in order.

My name Thomas.  Make the statement out loud, “my name is Thomas” and see what response or movement your body does. If your name is Thomas, then ‘yes’, and there is a forward motion with your body (eyes open or closed), then ‘no’ would be backwards (your name is actually Peter). This takes practice and a belief that our body can communicate to us. Practice daily with various yes and no questions plus hold foods next to your Thymus to see the response.

Some have to practice the Thymus to awaken it while others may have an opposite affect, no is forwards and yes is backwards. Best to switch this (difficult to instruct on this here) and keep on thumping.
